Ashish Iyer is the Managing Director of Mistry Ventures. Previously, Mr. Iyer was a Senior Partner and Managing Director at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG). He worked with clients across the world, helping them architect their growth journeys in the private, public, and government sectors on issues related to strategy, digital, go to market, and organizational effectiveness.
Between 2015 and 2017, he was the Global Practice Area Leader of The Strategy Practice at BCG. Mr. Iyer was recognized as one of BCG's leading global experts on strategy, leading projects across abroad range of industries as well as helping to cultivate the firm's thinking around topics such as new market entry, winning in uncertain environments, and scenario planning.
Prior to joining BCG, he worked with Accenture and AF Ferguson.
Mr. Iyer was featured as one amongst India's Top 40 Business Leaders Under 40 by the Economic Times in 2015. He authored a seminal report on Indian agriculture and is a contributor to leading international and national newspapers and journals.
Mr. Iyer has received a BSc (Honours) & MSc degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
Cyrus Mistry was one of the promoters of the multi‑billion-dollar construction giant Shapoorji Pallonji Group.
After completing his studies in the year 1992, Mr. Mistry joined Shapoorji Pallonji Group. Under his leadership as Managing Director, Shapoorji Pallonji’s construction business grew into a billion-dollar enterprise, evolving from pure-play construction to execution of complex projects in the marine, oil and gas, and rail sectors, across a number of international geographies.
Mr. Mistry had been the Director of Tata Sons from September 2006 to January 2017. He was also the 6th Chairman of Tata Sons Limited from December 2012 to October 2016. In addition to being Chairman of Tata Sons, Mr. Mistry was also the Chairman of leading Tata group companies including Tata Steel Limited, Tata Motors Limited, Tata Consultancy Services Limited, Tata Power Company Limited, The Indian Hotels Company Limited, Tata Global Beverages Limited, Tata Chemicals Limited, Tata Industries Limited, Tata Teleservices Limited, and Jaguar Land Rover Automotive PLC U.K.
Mr. Mistry graduated with a degree in Civil Engineering from Imperial College, UK in 1990 and he received a M.Sc. in Management from the London Business School in 1997. He was a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, London.
